It was an incredible honor to be the Keynote Speaker at Bosch Global Software Technologies’ Annual Kickoff Event, addressing senior leaders, engineers, and technologists from across domains.
The session, “Building Worlds: Lessons from Business, Failure, and Storytelling,” went beyond theory—it was personal. I shared my journey:
How my first startup failed and left me bankrupt,
How starting over led to building the GoodWorks Group,
How my passion for writing became a bestselling book, and
How this eventually grew into the VMU Superhero Universe.
But the most unforgettable moment? When we played trailers of our upcoming VMU superhero characters—the room erupted in applause. That reaction reminded me why I build: failure teaches structure, and stories give courage. When both come together, you can create things that last—companies, books, or universes.
