Everywhere I go, people are usually stuck with the same problem that ‘this is how things are,’ ‘this system is rotten!’ ‘the reality is different on the ground,’ ‘I cannot help it because I have to follow the rules,’ ‘what am I supposed to do? I’m too small in the system.’ and so on.
The problem with most of us is that ‘complaining’ is our default mode of life. Complaining is easy because we don’t have the responsibility of fixing things. Blaming others will put the onus on someone else to change things for us. We forget a simple fact that ‘change starts from us.’ We need to be the change we want to see in the world around us.
Complaining is a habit & like all other bad habits, you can proactively put an end to it.
So, the next time you feel like complaining, take a pause & think what you can do differently to fix the problem. The power to find solutions is inside you. And no, don’t wait for others to give you a ‘position, designation or power’ to start doing that. Do it now! Because the first step to bring a change is to realize you have the power to do that.
Stop complaining, start fixing!
