Home » Career Advice » Are you aiming for social media rewards or quality content | Writing Tips

Recently, I heard an influencer say that he keeps his fingers crossed every time he posts something on social media. He always waits for maximum number of likes & shares. ‘It boosts my ego!’ he mentioned.

Well, I know he was just being too honest. Most people are suffering from this syndrome right now. Our lives are measured by how social media perceives us. Reality doesn’t matter any more. However, when you start doing something to please others, the whole purpose is lost.

You should never write content or post something just to get more likes. If you do so, soon you will only be posting stuff that is not real. Your voice will no longer exist. You will no longer hold the power to do what is right. Instead of you controlling your thoughts, social media will control you. Rather, you should stay true to your beliefs & philosophy.

Write/post content that is honest & helpful to your community or domain. Some may like, some may dislike what you are saying but at least you will make a difference. Soon you will see a genuine following shaping up. Bottomline-There are too many fake people out there on social media.

Shun the temptations of getting more likes. Emerge as a thought leader by never diluting your thoughts or vision.
